Business, Science and Engineering Apprenticeships

Choosing between work and study can be tough but here's an opportunity to do both. We offer an apprenticeship scheme aimed at school leavers and young people between the ages of 16-24 years.
Our apprenticeship scheme is run across our Cheshire - South Manchester sites. The 2 or 4 year apprenticeships offers the chance to gain quality work based training whilst continuing to study towards recognised vocational qualifications (NVQ's), along with technical certificates depending on the vocational area. It provides the opportunity to develop on-the-job apprenticeship skills in either engineering, science laboratory, office/secretarial, catering or animal husbandry.
You'll spend some of your time working towards qualifications that are relevant to your training as an apprentice, and in some cases this will be by attending a local college on a day release or 'block' release basis.
You'll also attend special apprenticeship courses organised by AstraZeneca to develop personal effectiveness skills such as communication, presentation and team working. These courses are complemented with two residential personal development courses. The rest of the time, you'll learn on the job in your chosen apprenticeship area.
Training will be provided by experienced managers and your performance will be regularly monitored throughout the 2 or 4 year apprenticeship programme.
